We spoke with Alison ahead of her concert and here is what she had to share:
1. Could you give us a sneak peek of your upcoming program? What can audiences expect?
This concert will be different than my previous ones as it will be a Holiday concert! You can expect to hear some well known tunes, other tunes you may have forgotten about, and some duets too!
2. You’re coming back to The Online Music Guild for your third concert! How were your previous experiences and what do you look forward to the most for this third performance?
My experiences working with The Online Music Guild have been nothing but positive. The overall experience is just so amazing, exciting and fun: it gives performers a fantastic platform to present their craft during a time where music and staying connected with one another is more critical than ever. In addition to that, 360 of Opera does such an incredible job promoting and marketing each of the concerts. Both Online Music Guild and 360 of Opera make the entire experience easy and enjoyable.
3. What is something positive that these quarantine months have allowed you to do as an artist?
These quarantine months have allowed me additional time to focus on my role studies, as well as learn an extensive amount of new repertoire. In addition to this, I've been able to focus on preparing song cycles that I am currently learning for my final Master's recital taking place in the Spring. Finally, being in quarantine has allowed me to connect and collaborate with other artists virtually as well as participate in online Masterclasses, which has been an incredible experience in itself.
4. Who should tune in to your concert?
Anyone and everyone who needs a little Holiday cheer!
5. What are some of your future artistic plans and where can people reach you?
In April, I will have completed my Master of Music Degree in Vocal Performance. I plan to continue focusing on learning new role studies, as well as collaborating virtually with other artists and performers. I hope to perform in another Online Music Guild Concert, as well!
